West Hartford is a town in Hartford County, Connecticut, United States, 5 miles (8.0 km) west of downtown Hartford. The town is part of the Capitol Planning Region . The population was 64,083 at the 2020 census .

His grandfather, Richard J. Kinsella, had previously served as Mayor of Hartford from 1918 to 1920 and from 1922 to 1924. [1] His father, George F. Kinsella, had served as Hartford's city assessor. James Kinsella's brother, George B. Kinsella, later became Hartford's mayor for one term from 1965 to 1967.
It consists of the towns of West Hartford, Burlington, and parts of Bloomfield and Farmington. It is currently represented by Democrat Derek Slap , who has been serving since 2019. [ 1 ]
