Loughborough University (abbreviated as Lough or Lboro for post-nominals) [8] [9] is a public research university in the market town of Loughborough, Leicestershire, England. It has been a university since 1966, but it dates back to 1909, when Loughborough Technical Institute was founded.
The hotel is run by Imago Venues, [3] the service that manages conferences and events at Loughborough University. [ 4 ] The Hotel is part of Loughborough University's Student Village project [ 5 ] which sees 617 new student bedrooms in new halls of residence opening in October 2018 and October 2019.

The technology park was renamed Holywell Park and is home to a mix of Loughborough University academic schools and enterprise companies. The park was built on the site of Holywell Hall, an area that was thought to contain a small hermitage, fishponds and moat. [4] The Hall itself is now the location of a Grade II listed building Holywell Farm. [5]
The Scholars ground shared at fellow local side Loughborough Dynamo until moving into the new Holywell Park, Loughborough University Stadium. In 2011 the club beat Boldmere St Michaels 4–2 to lift the League Cup at Walsall's Bescot Stadium , then won the trophy again the following season when they beat Tipton Town 2–0.
