Muvi TV is a private television station in Lusaka, Zambia. It was formed in 2003 and is one of the 4 major private stations in Zambia. It has faced major government shutdowns in the past due to its reporting of critical issues. [1] [2] [3] In 2011, president Rupiah Banda ordered the closure of the station just before the general elections. [4]
Costa was born in Kalulushi in the early 1980s and began his career at Muvi TV as a presenter in 2007. He went on present the assignment program interviewing politicians including Michael Sata and Hakainde Hichilema, Rupiah Banda, Edgar Lungu, Kenneth Kaunda and made his name through the program.
At MUVI Television, he gained interest in political news and analysis. This led to the biggest television station in Zambia taking notice of his skills and style. It was at MUVI TV he became a weekly analyst on breakfast shows and occasionally appeared on the 18:30 main news to give analysis on some political developments in the country.
