[1] Funeral directors were able to post death notices on the website without additional costs to the family, [2] but funeral directors will be charged from 2025. As of 2021, the website received approximately 250,000 visits per day and more than 50 million pages were viewed each month.
James 'Jim' Lynagh (Irish: Séamus Ó Laighneach; 13 April 1956 – 8 May 1987) was a member of the East Tyrone Brigade of the Provisional Irish Republican Army (IRA), [1] from Monaghan Town in the Republic of Ireland, who was killed by British special forces whilst attacking an R.U.C. station in Northern Ireland.

Billy Fox (3 January 1939 – 12 March 1974) was an Irish Fine Gael politician who served as a Senator for the Cultural and Educational Panel from 1973 to 1974 and a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Monaghan constituency from 1969 to 1973. [2] He was shot to death by the IRA who were carrying out a raid on his girlfriend's farmhouse.
