Noggin was an American edutainment brand that launched on February 2, 1999. [1] It was co-founded by MTV Networks (owners of Nickelodeon) and Sesame Workshop. [2] [3] It started out as a cable television channel and a website, both centered around the concepts of imagination, creativity, and education.
Sesame Workshop eventually sold its stake in Noggin in August 2002, but it continued to co-produce new content for the brand until 2009. In 2009, Noggin's channel space was replaced by the Nick Jr. Channel, but Noggin was relaunched as a streaming service in 2015.
The N was run by the same team as Noggin's preschool shows, so the block's original shows ended with a card reading "Noggin LLC".
