Robert Emmet Briscoe (25 September 1894 – 29 May 1969) [1] was a veteran of the IRA during the Irish War of Independence and Fianna Fáil politician of Lithuanian Jewish descent. He served as a Teachta Dála (TD) in the Oireachtas (Irish parliament) from 1927 to 1965.
