Burgessomedusa is an extinct, monotypic genus of macroscopic free-swimming cnidarians from the middle Cambrian Burgess Shale in Canada. The type species is Burgessomedusa phasmiformis . The genus was characterized by the bell -like body with about 90 short tentacles .
