Twelfth Night (Russian: Двенадцатая ночь, transliteration Dvenadtsataya noch) is a 1955 Soviet romantic comedy-drama film by Lenfilm based on Shakespeare's play Twelfth Night, or What You Will. The script was written by Yan Frid. The film was released in the Soviet Union on 21 November 1955, and in the United States on 3 March 1956.
She made her professional theatre debut in 1956 playing Viola in William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night at the Oxford Playhouse. She made her Broadway debut in musical revue New Faces of 1956 (1956). Smith excelled in both comedy and drama performing in various works of Shakespeare, Anton Chekhov, Noël Coward, Edward Albee and Tom Stoppard.
Several of the cast from that production reprised their roles, including Jacquy Phillips, Peter Cummins, John Wood and Geoffrey Rush; Ivar Kants and Tracey Harvey were new additions. Shooting began at the Balmain Bijou Theatre on 5 August 1985.

Sir Andrew Aguecheek is a fictional character in William Shakespeare's play Twelfth Night, or What You Will. One of the supporting characters, Sir Andrew is a stereotypical fool, who is goaded into unwisely duelling with Cesario and who is slowly having his money pilfered by Sir Toby Belch. He is dim-witted, vain and clownish.
