Plans of rebuilding another high school were blacklisted when the St. Bernard Parish School Board decided to open Chalmette High School as the base of the entire St. Bernard Parish community, that expanded its campus on the previous Lacoste Elementary School campus for the 9th Grade Academy building that opened in 2009.

Bartlett High School is a high school (grades 9–12) located in Bartlett, Tennessee. It is part of the Bartlett City Schools. [2] It was formerly operated by the Shelby County Schools system. Bartlett has two campuses, the main campus and the Ninth Grade Academy which is located at the former Shadowlawn Middle School campus on Shadowlawn Rd.
Following the merger of Memphis City Schools and Shelby County Schools in 2013, a referendum was put forth to the residents of Bartlett to form their own school district. In July 2013, the residents of Bartlett approved the referendum and Bartlett City Schools was created. [3]

Students enter into the school's Freshman Academy in the 9th grade year and elect to enter one of the upperclassmen thematic career academies for the 10th-12th grade year. Each academy has several elective pathways that students can choose from based on their own interests.
Howard was the first public school in the Chattanooga area. [1] The name is drawn from Civil War General Oliver O. Howard, as is Howard University.The school was founded under the leadership of Reverend E. O. Tade. Reverend Tade worked extensively in establishing a ministry in the Chattanooga region, being employed by the American Missionary Association and the Freedman's Aid Commission. [2]
The history of Chalmette High School began in 1926 with the addition of a freshman class to Meraux Elementary School. An additional grade level was added each of three subsequent years until a four-year institution could be established. [3] Prior to 1926, any student wanting a high school diploma had to transfer to an Orleans Parish Public School.
