This is a list of characters for the manga series Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai and its two anime adaptations. The manga ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1989 to 1996 and the first anime series aired from 1991 to 1992, covering the first 10 volumes of the manga, while the second one aired from 2020 to 2022 and covered the entire series, both produced by Toei Animation.
The ending themes are "mother" by Macaroni Enpitsu from episodes 1–25, [3] [4] [5] "Akashi" by XIIX from episodes 26–50, "Namae" by Humbreaders from episode 51-74 [6] and "Tobutori wa" by Mitei no Hanashi from episode 75 until its finale.
To honor Avan's final request, Dai, Popp and Gome leave the island and begin their quest to defeat Hadlar and his master to bring peace back to the world. During their travels, Dai's party gains three other members; the healer Maam, who later becomes also a martial artist, Hyunckel, one of Hadlar's former subordinates and Leona herself.
