2023 World Masters Athletics Indoor Championships is the ninth in a series of World Masters Athletics Indoor Championships (also called World Masters Athletics Championships Indoor, or WMACi). This ninth edition took place in ToruĊ , Poland , from 25 to 31 March 2023.
The biennial World Masters Athletics Indoor Championships debuted in March 2004 in Sindelfingen, Germany, continuing in even years until 2014, then switching to odd years from 2017. The most recent outdoor world meet was in Málaga , Spain , from September 4–16, 2018 .
Indoor championships (World Masters Athletics Indoor Championships, World Masters Athletics Championships Indoor, or WMACi) started at Sindelfingen, Germany, March 10–14, 2004. [5] The 2020 edition was scheduled to take place at the York Lions Stadium and Varsity Stadium in Toronto, but was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. [6]

The World Athletics Indoor Championships are a biennial indoor track and field competition served as the global championship for that version of the sport. Organised by the World Athletics, the competition was inaugurated as the World Indoor Games in 1985 in Paris, France and were subsequently renamed to IAAF World Indoor Championships in 1987.
The World Association of Veteran Athletes was founded August 9, 1977, at the second World Masters Athletics Championships in Gothenburg, Sweden. World masters championships have been held outdoors every two years ever since, and a biennial World Masters Indoor Championships debuted in March 2004 in Sindelfingen, Germany.
Nanjing was originally due to host World Athletics Indoor Championships in 2020, then in 2021, and then again in 2023, but all these dates were cancelled due to COVID-19 pandemic regulations in China. [3] [4] The 2022 edition took place in Belgrade, Serbia and the 2024 edition in Glasgow, United Kingdom.
2017 World Masters Athletics Indoor Championships is the seventh in a series of World Masters Athletics Indoor Championships (also called World Masters Athletics Championships Indoor, or WMACi). This seventh edition took place in Daegu , [ 2 ] [ 3 ] South Korea , [ 4 ] from 19 to 25 March 2017.
