As of the 2020 census [2] there were 9,434 people, 4,046 households, and 2,571 families residing in the township. The population density was 254.73 inhabitants per square mile (98.35/km 2).
The order founded a nursing school in 1922 and opened their first branch, a maternity hospital, in 1925. Recognizing the need for a large hospital building, the order began to purchase other houses on the block in the late 1920s.
