DePaul's Lincoln Park Campus (main campus) is the older and larger of the university's two campuses. Located on 36 acres (14.57 ha) in Chicago's historic Lincoln Park neighborhood, this campus offers a traditional university environment. In 1920, the venue was remodeled into a gymnasium [5] and the DePaul Blue Demons men's basketball team first played in the facility in 1923. [3] The team played in University Auditorium until 1956 with the team's last game being a 91-77 victory versus Lewis University on February 21, 1956. [ 4 ]

Alumni Hall was dedicated on December 16, 1956, and was owned and operated by DePaul University. [2] It replaced the University Auditorium, the school's prior on-campus gym. In February 2004, the DePaul University Trustee Board voted to discontinue operating Barat College despite a 14–11 vote by the DePaul Faculty Council to continue the alliance.
