France–Ireland relations (French: Relations entre la France et l'Irlande; Irish: Caidreamh idir an Fhrainc agus Éire) refers to the bilateral relations between France and Ireland. France and Ireland are both members of the Council of Europe , European Union and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development .
In February, 1756, Waddell joined two Virginia delegates and a Mohawk Indian to serve as a "Commissioner of Peace" to the Cherokee and Catawba tribes. Thomas Francis Meagher (/ m ɑːr / MAR; 3 August 1823 – 1 July 1867 [1]) was an Irish nationalist and leader of the Young Irelanders in the Rebellion of 1848.After being convicted of sedition, he was first sentenced to death but received transportation for life to Van Diemen's Land (now Tasmania) in Australia.
