Piccolo and 17 continue their showdown, unaware that the power-hungry Cell is approaching fast. Piccolo is as strong as 17 but fatigue kicks in, while the malicious Android's power remains undrained. Meanwhile Goku and Gohan impatiently wait for Vegeta and Trunks to finish their Super Saiyan training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.
As the others recover, Jiren and Hit go after Hearts again, while Goku suggests that he and Vegeta use the Fusion Dance to make themselves strong enough to take on Hearts' new power. Trunks, Piccolo, and 17 rejoin the battle to buy time, while Goku and Vegeta perform the dance successfully and fuse into Gogeta.
Goku later attempts to convince 17 to join the Tournament of Power, but the android is indifferent even after Goku reveals that all the losing universes will be erased from existence. Meanwhile, a group of space poachers arrive on Earth with their sights set on the Minotaurus.
Following the Tournament of Power, a mysterious figure named Fu, who after kidnapping Future Trunks, lures Goku and Vegeta to the Prison Planet, an experimental area which Fu created and has filled with strong warriors from different planets and eras in order to force them into a game where they must collect the seven Special Dragon Balls if they wish to escape with their lives.
King Kai watches over the north. Above these four is the Grand Kai. Goku and King Kai go to the Grand Kai's planet, and upon arrival, they learn that Cell, Frieza, King Cold, and the four deceased members of the Ginyu Force are causing trouble in hell. Goku and Pikkon, a warrior from the west quadrant, are dispatched to deal with it.
Buu temporarily absorbs Gotenks to increase his own power, but Vegeta and Goku are able to retrieve him from Buu. When Buu destroys the Earth, Goten and Trunks are killed. The Dragon Balls later bring Goten back to life along with the rest of the Earth in order to give energy to Goku's Genki-Dama attack, which defeats Buu.
In this form, Cell easily defeats Krillin, [15] Vegeta, [16] and Trunks, but spares all of them so that they can come to his fighting tournament, the Cell Games (セルゲーム, Seru Gēmu) to find a worthy opponent to face him, intending to destroy Earth when he wins and wanting to enjoy the fear he causes in others. When Goku gets caught by Moro, Vegeta uses his Forced Spirit Fission in reverse and gives the energy of their friends and the god power of Uub to Goku, allowing him to break free and defeat Moro. Days later, the Namekian Dragon Balls are used to restore the planets Moro destroyed and bring back to life those he killed and it is revealed that ...
