Confrontation is the thirteenth and final studio album by Bob Marley & the Wailers and the only one to be released posthumously in May 1983, two years after Marley's death. The songs were compiled from unreleased material and singles recorded during Marley's lifetime.
Confrontation is the second album by the Boston band Face to Face. It was produced in part by Arthur Baker. [2] Like the 1984 debut, most of the songs were written by Angelo, with Laurie Sargent credited as co-writer on half. The record was not a commercial success and would be their last release on Epic Records.

Gentle Confrontation received a score of 84 out of 100 on review aggregator Metacritic based on four critics' reviews, indicating "universal acclaim". [4] Uncut called the album "a varied, disjointed, entirely unpredictable yet utterly singular record", [7] and Mojo felt that "it's the emotional, cathartic journey of the chief protagonist that captivates the most". [5]
