Originally developed as Peninsula Quiz Kids by Bob Marks and Liz La Porte of Peninsula TV [2] Cable 26 (Pen-TV) in 1999, the show began airing on KRON-4 in San Francisco as Bay Area Quiz Kids. The show is now a production of TV Game Brains, headed by Executive Producer Marc Balcer.
The Quiz Kids Challenge, which featured a panel of three kids playing against three adults, aired in daily syndication from September 10 to December 28, 1990. Jonathan Prince hosted this version while Johnny Gilbert served as announcer. Bay Area Quiz Kids is a San Francisco-area high school quiz bowl, aired on KRON-TV.

Radnich was the sports director at KRON-TV from 1985 to 2018. [6] He was also a talk show host at KNBR radio from 1992 to 2019, hosting a three-hour show each weekday. In 2010 Radnich was inducted into the Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame. He has been honored three times by Associated Press, for the Best Television Sports cast in California.
