Reign of the Supermen is a 2019 American animated superhero film produced by Warner Bros. Animation and DC Entertainment.The film is a direct sequel to The Death of Superman (2018) and is based on the comic book story arc of the same name in "The Death of Superman" event.
Turning in his script in July 2002, J. J. Abrams' Superman: Man of Steel, commonly referred to as Superman: Flyby, was an origin story that included Krypton besieged by a civil war between Jor-El and his corrupt brother Kata-Zor. Before Kata-Zor sentences Jor-El to prison, Kal-El is launched to Earth to fulfill a prophecy.
It features George Newbern and Jerry O'Connell reprising their roles of Superman and Captain Marvel from Justice League Unlimited, as well as featuring Zach Callison as Billy Batson, James Garner as Shazam, Kevin Michael Richardson as Mister Tawky Tawny, Arnold Vosloo as Black Adam, Josh Keaton and Danica McKellar.
It is the overall 48th installment in the DC Universe Animated Original Movies, and the fifth film set in the DC Animated Movie Universe's second phase, which began with Superman: Man of Tomorrow. The film is directed by Jeff Wamester, from a script by John Semper and Ernie Altbacker, and stars Aldis Hodge and Jimmi Simpson.
