Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital is a 338-bed acute care regional hospital located in the city of Santa Rosa, California, which is in Sonoma County. The hospital, known as "Memorial", is part of the Providence Health hospital system. It serves a population of over 500,000 people living in the greater Sonoma County area.

Downtown Santa Rosa, including the central Old Courthouse Square and historic Railroad Square, is an area of shopping, restaurants, nightclubs, and theaters. Downtown also includes City Hall, state and federal office buildings, many banks, and professional offices. The Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital medical center is just to the east of downtown.
The initial hospital, known as Santa Rosa Hospital, was chartered as a non-profit hospital, to be operated and managed by the county. [3] Construction began in mid-1951 and on December 2, 1952, the first patients were admitted. [3] The hospital was located on Stewart Street in Milton. [3] It was expanded in 1963 and again in 1966.
