The brigade HHC was constituted on 1 April 1988 as Headquarters and Headquarters Company, Aviation Brigade, 10th Mountain Division, and activated at Fort Drum, New York. [3] The brigade was activated at Griffiss Air Force Base in Rome, New York as part of the 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry) on 2 July 1988.
