The R17 is a line of Rodalies de Catalunya's regional rail service, operated by Renfe Operadora.It runs southwards from the Barcelona area to Port Aventura, near the seaside resort of Salou, passing through the Vallès Occidental, Baix Llobregat, Garraf, Baix Penedès, Camp de Tarragona, Baix Ebre and Montsià regions.

Salou used to have a railway station served by the Spanish state rail-network, RENFE. The destinations from Salou included major cities in Catalonia such as Tarragona and Barcelona, as well as a train south to the city of Valencia. The station was closed in January 2020 after a new line between Tarragona and Amposta was built.
