I know I could redownload sprints visual voicemail, but what I really want is a simple app that will directly dial my voicemail. I really hate the tin-y quite quality of the visual voicemail app. I just want to avoid the extra effort of having to open the dialer and dialing "1" to reach my actual voicemail.

I don't like the Google Phone app, it takes two clicks to see a contact's call history. One click to click on the line item, another click to click on "show history". The Samsung phone app that I had could do this in one click. I have spent the entire day trying a lot of phone and dialer...

At least AT&T and VZW let you use their voicemail apps on a non carrier phone, Sprint doesn't even do that so anyone on the fourth largest carrier is forced to use the GV workaround mentioned above or go to an alternate voicemail service like YouMail. This from the same carrier that used to feature an unheard of level of Google Voice integration...
Also, make sure you didn't uncheck "notifications" on the Voicemail app, and go ahead and clear cache and data on that app while you're in there. If that doesn't work, give Customer Service at call at *611 or (800) 922-0204.
I converted my unlocked TMo branded S22U to esim and now the Samsung VVM app no longer works. I tried to clear app cache and data but it will not verify account data to complete setup. So, as you say it seems TMo doesn't want people using this app on devices connected to their network. Locked or unlocked.
