Perris Valley Airport (FAA LID: L65) is a privately owned and operated airport open to public use and located one mile (1.6 km) southeast of Perris, serving Riverside County, California, United States. It has one runway and is used for general aviation and extensive skydiving. [1] The airport operates from dawn to dusk daily year-round.
Other local towns include Franconia (and its Cannon Mountain Ski Area) (18 miles (29 km)), Littleton (14 miles (23 km)), Bethlehem (11 miles (18 km)) and Lancaster (10 miles (16 km)), where the Coos County Fair is held each summer.
The nearby, privately owned, Perris Valley Airport (FAA designator: L65) has a 5,100-foot (1,600 m) runway. Perris has drawn a crowd of skydivers, amateur and professional, to Perris Valley Skydiving. The area's sudden fame gave Perris the nickname: "the skydiving capital of America".

The area has operated seasonally since the 1940s. [2] [3] As of February 1948, it included a 900-foot (270 m) rope tow, three-quarters-mile (1.2 km) intermediate trail, and warming hut operated by the Mt. Prospect Outing Club.
