The Uganda Free Zones Authority (UFZA) is a government free zones agency established by the Parliament of Uganda.Operating under the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, UFZA is responsible for the establishment, development, management, marketing, maintenance, supervision and control of free zones in Uganda and to provide for other related matters.
The government of Uganda established this institute in 1971, in collaboration with the government of Japan through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The institute's primary objective is the provision of "vocational training skills to school leavers and apprentices in enterprises and to upgrade and assess competencies of industrial workers".

The Uganda Junior Staff College, is a staff college in Uganda. Typically, graduates are commanders in the Uganda People's Defence Force (UPDF). Other African countries also send their cadets to the college for training. Past graduates of the college have come from Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, South Sudan, and other African nations. [2]
