Fabius Pictor's account, used by Livy, of the expedition carried out against the Etruscan League by Fabius Maximus Rullianus [12] in 310 or 309 BC.
Six allegories represent the Umbrian and Sabine cities on which the jurisdiction of the Provincia extended (Perugia, Foligno, Rieti, Orvieto, Terni and Spoleto). The main block of the castle dates to the 13th century.
