    Otherwise the coast is full of people working 2 or 3 low wage jobs just to get by. Astoria, Tillamook, Newport, Lincoln City, Coos Bay, and Bookings are the only towns along the coast that are large enough to have a bit of a diverse economy with larger stores, medical facilities, and so forth. Everything else is mostly just small tourist towns.

    Oregon is full of tiny towns in the woods. I suggest that you figure out how you are going to support yourself and go from there. All the forest that is too thick and lush to walk through is west of the Cascades summit. Try looking in the Coast Range area. Lots and lots of small towns there. Look at Pedee, Wren, Kings Valley, or Mary's Peak.
