Gender. Female. Oct 4, 2024. #1. I have a lot of of inflammation and a lot of pain at 4 plus weeks after my tkr. They put me on steroids today because of the inflammation. I am in great shape, take little meds and have good body weight. My range is extraordinary according to my PT and surgeon but I am going backwards. I feel tightness and pain.
The localized nerve ending pain is not improving. Last night I got 3-4 hours of sleep max. Saran Wrap works for a while but warms up and becomes uncomfortable. Thinking of trying a 1/4 of an oxy tonight which I have not touched. Already week 5 + and I don’t feel better today than 3 weeks ago. Tramadol and gabepantin do not help. Ideas anyone?

What you are experiencing is normal, you are only 4 weeks out and still in the angry knee phase of healing. I am 4 wks post surgery for an anterior total hip replacement. The surgery went well and I have been getting stronger every day.
