The launcher itself is pretty straightforward. Upon launching it the first time, it will ask you for you in game name (this can always be changed in the launcher's settings). Once done, you can now find the desired modded server, join it and the launcher will automatically download the required mods.

zero point using the external launcher. original works fine and isnt messy at all. well, the DZSA launcher has a bit more detailed server information. time of day and exact playercount, yes. dunno if thats worth installing 3rd party software.
This morning after a restart I am suddenly unable to join any server. This happens with both the regular Dayz launcher and DZSAlauncher. I am able to open the launcher - select the server to join. the game begins to launch but goes immediately to a black screen and after a few moments it says "not responding."
