As of the 2020 census, the population was 715,884, [2] making it the 2nd most populous county in Tennessee. Its county seat is Nashville, [3] the state capital and most populous city.
In 1784 it was incorporated as a town by the North Carolina legislature. The Southwest Territory became the state of Tennessee in 1796 and Nashville became an incorporated city in 1806. In 1843 it became the state capital of Tennessee. In the Civil War Nashville was seized by Federal troops in 1862 and became a major Union military base.
The Music City Center is a convention complex located in downtown Nashville, Tennessee, United States. It opened in May 2013. [ 6] The complex was designed by tvsdesign with Associated Architects: Tuck-Hinton Architects, Moody Nolan. [ 7][ 8] It was developed by Nashville Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency.
