Greenwood is a town in Oxford County, Maine, United States.The population was 774 at the 2020 census. [2] The town was named for surveyor Alexander Greenwood. [3] The village of Locke Mills, on State Route 26 in the northern part of Greenwood, is the town's urban center and largest settlement.

Completed in 1836, the roughly square stone structure is a reminder of the town's agrarian past. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.
