Kemptville is a community located in the Municipality of North Grenville in Eastern Ontario, Canada in the northernmost part of the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville. It is located approximately 56 km (35 mi) south of the downtown core of Ottawa and 2.5 to 3 km (1.6 to 1.9 mi) south of the Rideau River .

It was established in 1917 as Kemptville Agricultural School and offers programs related to agricultural and rural fields. [1] In 1997 it affiliated with the Ontario Agricultural College at the University of Guelph, and in 2007 the institution adopted its current name as a recognition of its integration into the university.
