Three students from Mansfield University in north-central Pennsylvania met while attending the school's music department in the early 1980s. Singer and multi-instrumentalist Jeff Feltenberger was a vocal performance major, drummer Ron Simasek was a music education major, while saxophonist and future Badlees manager Terry Selders was a music merchandising major.

Hazleton is the second-most populous city in Luzerne County. [3] It was incorporated as a borough on January 5, 1857, and as a city on December 4, 1891. Hazleton is located in Northeastern Pennsylvania, 35 miles (56 km) northwest of Allentown, 82 miles (132 km) north-northwest of Philadelphia and 106 miles (171 km) west of New York City.

Hazle Township is located in the southern portion of Luzerne County; it surrounds most of Hazleton and West Hazleton. Its numbered routes include I-81, PA 93, PA 309, PA 424, PA 924, and PA 940. Hazleton Regional Airport is situated in the northern half of the township. Most of the community is made up of homes and businesses.
Panorama was founded in Milan in 1939. [2] The magazine was temporarily closed by the Fascist rule in December 1940 due to the publication of the translated texts by Ada Prospero. [3] It was relaunched by Italian publisher Arnoldo Mondadori in cooperation with the American Time Inc. group in Milan in October 1962. [4] [5] [6]
