Pick up a new card application at either Library location, or you can apply online. Online cards are only good for accessing our digital libraries. To receive a physical card, please visit a Lynchburg library location. All applicants must present a valid photo ID and proof of current address.

The Library provides free services to all residents living within the city of Lynchburg and the surrounding counties. We have over 100,000 books, audiobooks, and movies available for checkout. We also have public computers and free WiFi.

The Digital Law Library is an electronic resource library which includes access to LexisNexis. The LexisNexis database is only available on the public computers at the Main Library (2315 Memorial Avenue) and the Downtown Branch Library (900 Church Street).
