Hey group, so my I finally got tired of the dimming odometer and random powering off the cluster on my 2006 CVPI. Went to Pick-A-Part and bought a fully functioning 2008 CVPI cluster. Similar mileage...higher miles but not by much, but the hours are well above mine. I took of my origin…
Rest of MGM lockset. Driver lock is straight swap, done. Rod to the lock can be a little tricky to release. If you manage to break the plastic rod clip like I did at the junkyard, the part can be replaced. MGM trunk lock housing is taller than CVPI so will not fit. Damn. Will have to figure out how to remove lock from housing to make the swap.

Those have been used in mustangs, f150's, and a pile of other common vehicles and should be readily available from a salvage yard should you need to replenish your MAP stash. Looks like you are better off googling which part store is easier to deal with, and let that guide you, and just pick up whatever is left on your list from the other store.
I have an '04 spruce green Crown Vic LX Sport with gray leather interior. The plastic cover on the lumbar control on the driver's side seat is broken and kinda "hanging there". My husband tried to glue it back together but it would not stay. I have this part no. "2w1x-14b609-aaw" but can't find where to get another one.
So the biggest part of the swap is, obviously, the throttle body. For the 70mm swap the only throttle body I am aware of that works for ours is the one off the 2003-2006 Lincoln LS V8. It’s entirely possible that the retro Thunderbird or certain Jaguars may share the part, but I don’t know for certain, so I can’t say anything.
The new crank pulley I got is made in China. I realize that some of Ford's OE parts are also made in China. Overall it looks very close to the OE part, casting is a bit rough in the non-machined areas. The damper rubber is also more "tightly" packed between the pulleys. _____
A pull your own part place opened up a couple miles away, and they publish the list of cars on the web. Any new Crown Vics or Grand Marquis come in I am there. I have pulled a couple 03+ cup holders that were incomplete or broken, but lots of good parts (at 6-7 bucks each), but finally found one that is functionally complete, the right color ...

Go to a wrecking yard and pick up a used latch from a low mileage wrecked panther. You might be able to swap the center over to the driver's side, but it probably won't have a plug in for the seat belt sensor. Most likely discontinued by Ford now, but they should be plentiful at the wreckers. IIRC it's a big torx bit to remove them
