The UCD School of History (Scoil na Staire UCD) is the department of University College Dublin which is responsible for the study of history. As of 2020, it was reputedly one of "the top 100 history schools in the world". [1] It was established at the foundation of the University in 1854.

[1] Founded in 1855 by Cardinal John Henry Newman, as of 2017 it had over 5000 enrolled members, and has been the largest student society in UCD. [2] [3]

In recognition of her 2010 contributions to the fine arts, she received an honorary Doctor of Fine Arts degree from the National College of Art & Design (NCAD), and is an adjunct professor at the School of Art History and Cultural Policy, University College Dublin.
