"Dimples" is a song written and recorded by blues singer-songwriter John Lee Hooker in 1956. It is an ensemble piece, with Hooker accompanied by Jimmy Reed 's backup band. Eight years after its first release, it became Hooker's first record to appear in the British record charts.
The soundtrack consisted of nine songs composed by Pradeep Kumar, with lyrics written by Muthamil, Kutti Revathi, Arun Prabu and Pradeep himself. The album was preceded by two singles—"Aahaa" and "Feel Song"—before the soundtrack was released on 9 July 2021 under the Sony Music India label.
The film stars Vijay and Dimple, while Sundarrajan, Jaishankar, Srividya, Karan, Manivannan play other pivotal roles. It was released on 14 January 1997, [ 1 ] during Pongal and did well at the box office, [ 2 ] despite facing competition from other Pongal releases such as Iruvar , Minsara Kanavu and Nesam .
