"Brokenhearted" is a song by American pop duo Karmin. It was released as the lead single from their debut EP, Hello (2012). It was written by band members Amy Heidemann and Nick Noonan, Claude Kelly, Benny Blanco, Emily Wright, Henry Walter, John Hill and Richard Head, and produced by Cirkut and Emily Wright. [1]

In May 2012, Karmin released their debut EP Hello , which spawned the singles "Brokenhearted" and "Hello" , and received mixed reviews.
The album was panned by some music critics. Writing in The New York Times, Jon Caramanica critiqued Karmin as an act whose fame came from "assaulting the songs of others, performing glib and highly stylized YouTube covers that inadvertently doubled as sketch comedy" and found Heidemann's rapping in her own material "intricate and deeply irritating".
