The Dispilio Lakeside Neolithic Settlement Archaeological Collection is a museum in Dispilio, Greece. It was the first Neolithic settlement by the side of a lake excavated in the country. Many important artifacts were found, the most notable being the Dispilio Tablet. The village is 8 km from Kastoria.
Orestis (Greek: Ὀρεστίς) was a region of Upper Macedonia, corresponding roughly to the modern Kastoria regional unit located in West Macedonia, Greece. Its inhabitants were the Orestae , an ancient Greek tribe that was part of the Molossian tribal state or koinon .

Attractions include the ruins of the monastery of "St George", the chapel of "St Christopher" in the "Lower Slum" (Kato Mahalo), the church of "The Assumption of the Mother of God" (1743), which was destroyed by cannon bombs of the National Army during the Greek Civil War, and the church of "St Athanasius" (1874).
The museum stands at the highest point of the city, in Dexamenis Square (Platia Dexamenis), next to the Monuments Museum.It has been open since 1989. It has a collection of some 700 icons from the city's 75 Byzantine and post-Byzantine churches, and almost all of them have been restored and cleaned by the museum's conservators.
