Bayonetta (Japanese: ベヨネッタ, Hepburn: Beyonetta) is an urban fantasy action-adventure video game franchise created by Hideki Kamiya. It is developed by PlatinumGames , owned by Sega , and, since the release of Bayonetta 2 in 2014, published by Nintendo .
Bayonetta Origins is an action-adventure video game. Gameplay is split between the protagonist Cereza, a young witch in training, and Cheshire, a demon bound to her stuffed toy. Both are controlled simultaneously: Cereza is controlled using the left Joy-Con while Cheshire is controlled using the right. Cheshire can be toggled between two modes.
Bayonetta is voiced by Hellena Taylor in English and Atsuko Tanaka in Japanese. [1] For the original game, despite production being based in Japan, Kamiya was particular to insist that the character have an English voice actor, and had no Japanese voice actor assigned due to his belief that speaking Japanese would not suit the character.
