The Laff Stop was created by Michael Callie and originated in Newport Beach, California and featured comics such as Steve Martin, David Letterman, Elayne Boosler, Bill Hicks and Robin Williams. [1] There were also Laff Stop clubs in Montclair, Ca , Palm Springs, CA and Austin, Texas (which changed its name to Cap City Comedy Club in 1996).
Laff's schedule mainly consists of 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, 2010s and 2020s off-network sitcoms. [ 1 ] [ 3 ] On September 1, 2021, Nexstar launched a direct competitor to Laff, Rewind TV , and the latter network replaced Laff on Nexstar stations (or will in the upcoming months if not immediately possible due to contractual obligations).

Danner was born on July 13, 1975, in Indianapolis, Indiana. [3] His mother, Cheryl Danner, performed in Los Angeles at The Comedy Store and The Improv's open mic nights, and later in Indianapolis with such improvisational comedy groups as Laff Staff with comedians Ray Combs and Robert G. Lee. [4] As a boy, Danner often accompanied his mother to her comedic rehearsals.
