Benewah County (/ ˈ b ɛ n ə ˌ w ɑː /) is a county located in the northwest part of the U.S. state of Idaho. As of the 2020 United States Census the county had a population of 9,530. [ 1 ] The county seat and largest city is St. Maries , which has some area inside the Coeur d'Alene Reservation . [ 2 ]
