In order to win the hearts of the Masegaki Elementary School children, Bakugo, Inasa, Todoroki, and Camie work together under Katsuki's strategy. Present Mic is impressed, saying that at their age he didn't have as much power as they did. Seiji suggests that the reason for their power is possibly due to the "Quirk Singularity doomsday theory".
Bakugo becomes angry as he wants Todoroki to fight him with both of his sides. After Izuku's cheer, Todoroki decides to use his left side but when Bakugo is about to use his "Howitzer Impact", Todoroki suddenly stops using his left side. The attack pushes Todoroki out of bounds, resulting in Bakugo being named the winner.
Creating a plan targeting Bakugo's selfish traits, the Class B Team quickly works to overwhelm Class A, only to be driven back by their perfect teamwork. Bakugo declares his intention to always seek a perfect victory and that includes not letting a single member of his team fall, as all the members are able to support each other in tandem.
Nine finds the children and confirms Katsuma possesses the Quirk he seeks, but Izuku intervenes. Nine ends up greatly overpowering Izuku with his multitude of Quirks, even with Bakugo's help, and they are defeated. However, Nine is forced to retreat after overusing his Quirks, allowing Class 1-A to save Izuku, Bakugo, and the Shimanos.
