Line 8 of the Shenzhen Metro (also known as the Yantian line) is an East-West line with 11 stations from Liantang to Xiaomeisha. It opened on 28 October 2020 between Liantang and Yantian Road, with a length of 12.367 km (7.7 mi) and a total of 7 stations. [2] Line 8 is the first line to serve Yantian District.
It connects the eastern suburbs of Liantang to Yantian Road, then towards the beach resorts at Dameisha and Xiaomeisha. However, this line serves as the extension of Line 2 in actual operation. Sea World (Chinese: 海上世界; pinyin: Hǎishàng Shìjiè; Jyutping: hoi2 soeng6 sai3 gaai3) is a large tourist attraction and plaza in Shekou, Nanshan District, Shenzhen. Its main attraction is the large ship, Minghua, in the center of Sea World. The boat is surrounded by many shops and restaurants.
The stadium is known for hosting the annual RoboMaster Robotics Competition since 2015, as well as the opening ceremony and some events of the 2011 Summer Universiade. The stadium has a capacity of 20,000 spectators and the Arena seats 13,000. The Sports Center also hosts regular concerts and has been used as a military staging area.
