This is a table of 1962 United States Tri-Service aircraft designation system with selected letter sequences and number. Two previous USAF/AAF/AAC number series are included due to their impact and partial incorporation into the tri-service system (A, B, C, F and O reset to one, but # carryover existed).
The S series was a range of medium and heavy-duty conventional trucks that was introduced in 1977 to replace and widen the LoadStar and FleetStar lines. It used a new cab with flat panels and forward tilting hood in different lengths. The series was very wide, from the medium duty 1600 to the regional semi-tractor 2500 and severe-service 2600.
The 2000 Series had 14 fewer seats than the 1000-series cars, while retaining the same amount of standee capacity. In 2002, as part of the rehabilitation project, the 2000-series cars received new three-phase AC propulsion systems with IGBT technology, replacing the original cam -controlled DC propulsion systems.
The Pratt & Whitney PW2000, also known by the military designation F117 and initially referred to as the JT10D, is a series of high-bypass turbofan aircraft engines with a thrust range from 37,000 to 43,000 lbf (160 to 190 kN). Built by Pratt & Whitney, they were designed for the Boeing 757.
The two pilots who were aboard a military aircraft when it crashed near Shelter Island in San Diego are in "good condition" and under 24-hour medical observation, U.S. Navy officials said.
