St Mary's College is an independent Roman Catholic coeducational day school in Crosby, Merseyside, about 7 miles (11 km) north of Liverpool.It comprises an early years department "Bright Sparks" (age 4 and under), preparatory school known as "The Mount" (age 4-11) and secondary school with a 6th Form (age 11-18).
St. Mary's College shares its campus with St. Mary's Preparatory and SS. Cyril and Methodius Seminary. It is located on the former site of the Michigan Military Academy. It was founded in 1885 by Fr. Joseph Dabrowski and transferred in 2003 to become St. Mary's College of and the Orchard Lake Campus of Madonna University.
The Seafield Convent of the Sacred Heart of Mary (1908–1977) was founded as a fee-paying Roman Catholic convent school for girls run by the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary in 1872 Crosby, England. The school soon moved to Seafield House in Seaforth, which gave it the name by which it is best known.
The college grew out of a postgraduate tutorial offered to one young woman graduate of St. Mary's Academy in Monroe, Michigan, in 1899. By 1905 it had grown to a two-year college for women and in 1910 it was a four-year college chartered to grant degrees. [3] It was then known as St. Mary's College.

St. Mary's was founded in 1885 on Detroit's east side on the corner of Forest and St. Aubin by Rev. Joseph Dabrowski as a school for Polish-American boys to train for the priesthood. The school moved to the 125-acre (0.5 km²) campus of the former Michigan Military Academy on the shores of Orchard Lake in 1909 and is still there today.
