Although I'm used to higher quality shoes, I was attracted to this pair based on the price and its reputation on this forum.
The classic line in store was quite impressive, and had some options not listed online (boots and a bunch of suede options). I took a ton of pictures which then got deleted, so my bad. The suede was what stunned me most. Apparently they use the same suede as Alden, and it really shows.
Brand Spotlight. Meermin Mallorca is often seen as offering some of the best dress shoes on the market in terms of price-to-quality. They have earned this reputation for good reason, and are oft-recommended as a good entry level shoe for those requiring a dressier option. Here we’ll have a look a little more in-depth at the brand.

Meermin was amazing. They had a back room dedicated to their hand welted shoes. I checked to be double sure and was told that the regular shoes are machine welted and the Linea Meastro are welted by hand. Their Cordovan shoes had a last that I just couldn´t get to fit my feet, I would also say that the finishing is noticeably worse than Carmina.
Review. I recently bought a pair of the new Meermin Wholecut Chelsea Boots in Black Calf and I wanted to share my thoughts. I'm a novice in this world of nice footwear so I wasn't quite sure what to expect when buying these, but I read a bunch of reviews and watched that video on shoemakers of note. I decided I wanted to get these boots because ...
The Meermin are aggressively wearing at the bottom; however, the wear is even, and I don't anticipate any problems with it. The AEs are wearing less evenly -- more around the toe. I found this a bit surprising because the Meermin seem to have a much higher arch. Both shoes are obviously high quality and will wear well.
ADMIN MOD. A Noob's Experience at Meermin NYC. I recently decided that my next shoe purchase would be something of better quality than the ~$100 pair of shoes a guy could get at Macy's or DSW. I was torn between a couple of brands, but decided to go with Meermin as I liked what folks here and at /r/malefashionadvice had to say about the balance ...
RUI: Our voluminous classic rounded toe last. Medium/wide fitting. A great last to base our heavier shoes & boots on, with double soles and sky welts like longwings, plain toe Bluchers or chukkas. A bit wider on across the vamp and toe areas. BOB: A pronounced contour rounded toe loafers last.
Unfortunately I have been experiencing the worst customer service experience ever from Meermin Shoes. I ordered a pair of loafers online from their website. The shoes arrived and were a half size too small. So I exchanged them for a half size up. I had to pay $15 dollars for shipping on the exchange.
