Girls was an American indie rock band, formed in San Francisco in 2007. [1] The band comprised two key members: Christopher Owens , songwriter and lead singer, and Chet "JR" White , who played bass and produced.
Christopher David Owens (born July 13, 1979) [1] is an American singer, songwriter, and musician. He is best known as the frontman and songwriter for the now-defunct indie rock band Girls. He released his debut album as a solo artist, Lysandre, in January 2013. [2] In September 2014, Owens released his second album, A New Testament. [3]
The amphitheater opened on June 15, 1994, with a concert by The Moody Blues and the Columbus Symphony Orchestra. [1] Since that time, it hosted some of the largest names in music, including: Rush, Aerosmith, Janet Jackson, Dave Matthews Band, Spice Girls, Farm Aid, and Ozzfest.

Owens described Broken Dreams Club as a "snapshot of the horizon" and "a taste of things to come." [ 1 ] Broken Dreams Club was the first Girls release to feature a full band (Girls was previously a collaboration between Owens and JR White).
