How often does the child support come in? Like daily, weekly, once per life stage, or just a single lump sum when the babies become toddlers? I have a sim who lives in a mansion where the bills are about 45K a week, and she's a single mom with triplet toddlers fathered by Bjorn Bjergsen, and she's currently preggo with twins fathered by Johnny ...
My daughter’s mother filed for child support in August 2023. For many years prior I was making direct payment to her but due to disagreements surrounding amounts of payments, parenting time, transportation, holidays and everything else in between, we decided to have everything decided by the courts.
Where I live, he would need to be making about $45,000/year to have to pay ~$300/month. $332 is nothing when raising a child so yes that’s low but with that said your ex only makes $1.4k a month so that’s why it’s so low. Also he can afford it otherwise the court wouldn’t have said he needs to pay that much.
Unfortunately, quite awhile. The best thing to do is to call the child support enforcement office in your state (I'm assuming that is who served him) and ask them for updates. When they see that it's been more than 30 days, they should refer it to a case worker who will then take more steps to go after him.

Also, if anyone is reading this, if there is any pre-paid child support, the State of TX will automatically move the child support end date forward. If pre-paid child support still exists at that point, the state will send you a check. I got a check for $1,200 from the TX AG office and they are going after my ex-wife to recoup that $1,200.
I gave up on child support being fair. I now work a job where my main income is tips but I get minimum wage on top of that. It helps alot. I had a great job before and literally half of my check was taken for child support. I couldn't survive. Now I get to keep all my tips and my whole minimum wage check goes to child support so it's a win.
um, most child support is supposed to be going directly to the custodial parent anyway. if you have to give it to the courts to give to the parent then you might have an issue with the courts in your area. but either way child support is used to support the child, clothes, food, toys, whatever to help the child. the issue with child support is ...
However the N400 asks me to provide evidence of child support such cancelled checks or money order receipts, court documents showing child support, evidence of wage garnishment, or notarized letters from the parent or guardian who cares for my child.
The hardest part about all this is child support is intended for the children, so the court's usually see these types of motions as stingy fathers. Imagine a scenario where it's innocent until proven guilty, and you're the person trying to prove they are guilty (don't need that much money).
