"Shoppin' for Clothes" is a novelty R&B song in the talking blues style, recorded by American vocal group the Coasters in 1960. Originally credited to Elmo Glick, a songwriting pseudonym of Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, who also produced the track, it was partly based on the 1956 song "Clothes Line (Wrap It Up)", written by Kent Harris and recorded by him as Boogaloo and his Gallant Crew.

Known for her distinctive and powerful voice, [2] Wash first achieved fame as half of the Two Tons O' Fun, along with Izora Armstead, as they sang backing vocals for the disco singer Sylvester including on his signature hit "You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)".

Izora Margaret Rhodes-Armstead (July 6, 1942 – September 16, 2004) was an American singer. Known for her distinctive alto voice, [3] Armstead first achieved success as one half of the duo Two Tons O' Fun, along with Martha Wash, as they sang backup for American disco singer Sylvester.
The album includes the multimillion-selling single release "It's Raining Men" by the Weather Girls, written and produced by Jabara in late 1982. [ 1 ] Paul Jabara & Friends was released in 1983 on the CBS Records label, with guest vocalists including the Weather Girls and Leata Galloway.
