Đồng Xuân Market (Vietnamese: Chợ Đồng Xuân; chữ Nôm: 𢄂 同 春) is a market in the center district Hoàn Kiếm of Hanoi, Vietnam.Originally built by the French administration in 1889, Đồng Xuân Market has been renovated several times with the latest being in 1994 after a fire that almost destroyed the market.
Sóc Trăng was known as Ba Xuyên during Minh Mạng's admininistration. [1]During the Nguyễn Dynasty of emperor Minh Mạng, it was given the Sino-Vietnamese name Nguyệt Giang (月 江), a calque of "Sông Trăng" (Moon River).
The name evolved, along with the rest of the language, from Latin to French. Solidus became soldus, then solt in the 11th century, then sol a century later. In the 18th century, the spelling of sol was adapted to sou so as to be closer to the pronunciation that had previously become the norm for several centuries.
